How do you come off pentasa?

Hi all

I was just wondering who has come off Pentasa / mesalazine and how long it took?

I currently take pentasa slow release 500mg tablets (6 a day = 3g). I had surgery about 8 years ago and have been in remission ever since. When I’ve talked to the doctor before he mentioned I could come off of them if I wanted. Do you need to be weaned off? At what sort of rate?

You can just start or stop taking them anytime.
