When I went to see my GI he gave me 2 options add 6MP to my Cimzia or Surgery which I don't understand I have never been on any other meds just whats in my siggy. I have 2 strictures they don't really bother me much but would much rather have them gone. I go back in about a week to let him know my decision. I'm not in the best health always dealing with Anemia. I weigh 107 but I am 5'3 just feel like crap most days. I have good health insurance so Im thinking of doing the surgery. Just wondering if I need to be in perfect health for surgery? if that's the case not sure it will happen.

I'm sorry to hear you are having to face these decisions. It seems to me that, although you may not be feeling too poorly with the strictures and such, your GI is not seeing the improvements he was hoping for, and your next best options are to add the 6mp or have surgery.

While it's always beneficial to be in the best health you can be for surgery, it isn't always possible. If your doctor is seeing it as a viable option, then he must feel you are a good candidate for it.

I wish you the best in whatever your decision is.
