for you to react to your food triggers?
I'm new to the game and have been working on identifying what sets me off at the moment ( currently undiagnosed - surgical consult in Feb. )
Last time I had cheese - friend with IBS made us a vegetarian risotto! - the big D attacked about 2 or 3 hours later. Day before yesterday, made some home made pizza and thought I'd have a bit of cheese on it to see how it was tolerated. Seemed to be fine.
Had roast chicken dinner yesterday and 2 hours later, the big D was back. Just wondering if the cheese was lurking! Guess it must have been, cos I was fine with Christmas dinner.

melted cheese, as in pizzas etc, was a no-no for me for a long, long time.. nowadays i'm ok with it, as long i don't have much..

my personal body clock with irritant foods is pretty quick - if i eat something i'm allergic or sensitive to, i can feel allergy type symptoms happening straight away - the worst example was when i ate one of the kids fruit sweets some years ago - i hadn't even finished it when i started feeling faint and my back came up bright red & felt like it was on fire.

foods that cause tummy upsets tend to make their symptoms known within a couple of hours with me, sometimes i stop eating something because it doesn't 'feel' right.. but then everyone's different.

OMG, I forgot! I had a little packet of jelly beans yesterday. I think they might have been the culprit. Looks like sugary stuff is out too.

I haven't found any food triggers that are consistent for me. Sometimes something I have eaten a million times seems to not go down right. Other times something I've avoided for ages slips in with no ill effects. I find stress is a much more predictable trigger than any particular food.

Corn is quite quick...within an hour or 2. If I eat things at night it usually doesn't come until the morning.

I seem to be one of the ones that different foods affect me differently at different times. I can eat something a million times and then I go to eat it again and my throat closes. Or something that is normally a big no-no, salad, sounds so good I HAVE to have it, and I tolerate it well. Sugar is never good for me (like jelly beans, almost instant stomach ache) but milk chocolate is okay. My body is strange!

Hope you feel better today,
Michele

I'm with MADiMarc and PeninsulaLil. Makes it frustrating as I can't really adjust my diet to help me along as I have no idea what triggers me off.
