How Long Have Your Symptoms Returned After Weaning Off Entocort?

Well I am happy to say I feel great one day after being totally off of Entocort. My question is how long has it been for some of you to have your symptoms return after weaning off of Entocort ? Can Entocort by itself heal the problem and maybe the symptoms will not return? Could the 9 weeks of treatment be enough to stay in remission? I have not ever felt this good. I hope I can stay this way!

Is there a reason your doctor didn't start you on Imuran/6-mp/Azathioprine or Methotrexate while you were on Entocort? Those are maintenance drugs intended to bring you into endoscopic remission (unlike Entocort) and keep you in remission.

The standard of care would be to start you on one of those meds.

Well my symptoms are not bad enough so he is hesitant to start me on anything stronger. We will see how long I stay symptom free after coming off this Entocort. If they come back it's a pill cam next
