How long till back to normal

Hi All,
I have UC and i had my 2nd colonoscopy on Monday past there. it showed that my disease had gone from proctitis to 50cm inflamation up to the transverse colon.
anyway the prep was horrific. i had 6 dulcolax 2x night for 3 nights and 2 satchets of citra fleet the day b4 the test.

Im still not going right since. lots of pain, cramps and bloody watery diarrhea. not much formation at all.

just wondering how long it takes to get back to normal.

jsyk, normal for me this past while is up to 14 trips a day but usually 3 or 4 of them are semi-formed.

Have you called your GI about it? That's my best suggestion along with possibly trying bowel rest - no solid foods basically.

If the diarrhea increases a lot, becomes very smelly and/or you start running a fever I would call your GI right away - even if it's the middle of the night. Might be c. diff infection.
