Hi everyone,
I'm new, as u can tell:wink: and I'm here to join in hopes to learn about Crohn's Disease.
I just discovered that i had Crohn's this March, where I've been suffering from it for a year and a half now, alot right, sadly doctors in my country weren't much help, so i had to travel to Thailand to dicover that i had crohns, Before that, I've lost a lot of weight and I'm anemic, and for years i complained about how painful and inconvenient my period is, it actually had the nerve to leave me for TEN months, And I feel awful, nauseated, and tired. I also have these weird red painful spots on my leg that appear every time I'm in a flare up. But after Thailand and the prescribed meds, which include Prednisone and Imuran, i was in remmision but only for a short blessful period of time, but sadly im in flare up state right now :(
But thankfully i found a really good Kuwaiti doctor that majors in crohns, that advised me to do some research to better know the disease, so i hope that u guys could hopefully help to the right direction on how to handle it.

Thanks

Hi there, welcome to the forum. Your question is huge, and I have had crohns just over 20 years but symtoms when I was a teen. Periods are painful for me, and I am so careful what I eat because I swell in the intestines too and causes narrowing. Your symtoms are not abnormal. Have you had your levels checked? Keeping up with blood work is so important. Ginger helps the nausea. Many are here to help you, reading some posts are informative. Hope you join us. Hang in there, help is near.

Hi Hanoda and welcome to the forum! I think you might be the first person from Kuwait that I have seen on here!

As you will find poking around the different threads, Crohns is different for all of us and different things affect us - foods, stress, meds, etc. It can be overwhelming to try to make sense of it all. But there are plenty of kind and knowledgeable folks on here that are eager to help and answer questions!

Ditto what Pen says about getting your blood levels check, especially iron and vitamin Bs, which are two things Crohnies can be really deficient in. Stress can play a really big part in flares for a lot of people. Also, if you are having painful periods, you are not alone! There are a lot of women on here who have gyno problems that are complicated by their Crohns. Make sure your gynecologist knows you have Crohns.

Hang in there. Hope you find some relief very soon!

Hi Hanoda and welcome! I think you will learn a lot about Crohn's after joining the forum. I was so happy to find this place when I was diagnosed.

I am sorry you are flaring again so soon. Did this flare start after you stopped taking the prednisone? Sometimes if people wean off too quickly, they can start to flare up again. Also, perhaps your dose of Imuran needs adjusting.

I hope you start to feel better soon!
