Humira after remicade?

I've been on remicade since June 2013, and have never noticed a difference after an infusion. After four remicade infusions my doctor decided to try doubling my dose, and a blood test said that it was at a therapeutic level in my system. I only noticed a difference in my symptoms when I added imuran and 6mp, both of which I couldn't continue taking because I couldn't stop throwing up on both of them.

Yesterday I had a scope that showed that remicade isn't working for me at all. After the scope my doctor said he wants me to try humira next. I'm also on methotrexate, but I just started that a week ago so I haven't noticed a change from that yet.

I know that people who have had reactions to remicade have gone on humira without problems, has anybody ever not responded to remicade and had better luck with humira?

Thanks for the help!

My daughter has done the Remicade route and built up antibodies to Remicade. She had such a bad allergic reaction she went into anaphylaxis shock at an infusion and had to be sent to the hospital next door to the clinic. This wasn't the first time she had a reaction like this to medication. The first time it was with Penicillin at age 3 that also sent her to hospital.

After the Remicade she went on methotrexate and 5 months later added Humira. She has been on the combo for 5 months. No signs of working, but no allergic reaction either. Awaiting blood tests to determine if its doing what its supposed to in her blood before we double up.

We think the combo is doing something because she has visible healing thanks to her last MRE. It just isn't doing much for her symptoms.
