I've been on fortnightly humira for 5 months and things are a lot better, but not perfect, so GI wants to add azathioprine.

Has anyone added aza to humira? If so, did you notice an improvement in your symptoms? Again, if so, how long until you noticed the improvements?

I have taken aza before on its own, but it didn't make any difference. GI said, with Humira, it can make it more effective?

Thanks in advance for any responses :)

I was on Aza before I started Humira so I wouldn't be able to tell ya, in fact, I was in remission, digestive system wise when I started, it was just I got a couple of fistula's on my bum so I had to start Humira or else it would have got worse.

One of the major reasons GI's use concurrent therapy is because the Aza stops your body from producing anti-bodies against the Humira.
