So after getting test done with a rheumatologist ive found out that aside from having crohns i also have spondalytis. Yay. Buy ive pretty much known that deep down anyways. Either way ive also tapered down to 20mg of prednisone and my symptoms are coming back. So my gi and rheumy want me to start humira in two weeks to treat both conditions. Can anyone tell me what to expect? Im strangely excited.

I love it so far. I just started 4 weeks ago and its great. The pen really doesn't hurt that much and you dont even see the needle so it's easy and quick. Best medication ive been on the past 6 years

Hiya Mike,
I started 2 weeks ago and I was excited too, but panicking about the humira because I read it hurts alot, and being freaked out by needles to begin with I was so nervous before my loading dose.. Anyway it went really well and didn't hurt at all. Ive had no troubles other than the odd bout of nausea. I also use the pen and find it really easy to use. Good luck with the Humira and hope it works well for you.

Hey guys thanks for responding. Im so glad they use the pens because i know how I am with needles. Id never be able to do the syringe haha. Im glad it went well for the both of you, now I just have to be patient and wait!!

I have also been on it for almost 2 weeks and the first week I felt like I was 30 again and I'm 54
Been having a little problems this week but not as bad as it has been the last 5 years so I am looking forward to getting the next 2 shots this tuesday.
