Humira + leaking from the backside

I am wondering if this is happening to anyone else...I am taking 2 needles/week, and since then I leak from the backside every nite, not much, but enough that I put papertowls in my underwear so there is no other mess...my doctor said is it because the bowels are relaxing at nite and that is why it is happening, and nothing to worry about...just started since I took Humita...

Is anyone else having this issue?

Whilst I wouldn't be surprised at anything in the world, I'd agree with the doc: if anything Humira makes us constipated, and leakage is either muscles relaxing too much or your Crohn's is still not under control.

Hi,

One question, do you have a fistula and do you have a seton in place? I do and I've often found that I get a little drainage from the anus as well as the external fistula. No big deal, but it would be nice to get away from having dressing shoved down underwear. When it's bad I sleep on a puppy training mat at night.

BTW two shots a week sounds a lot. The Humira may not be the cause, but a symptom that the disease is not being controlled.

Mark...thx for the reply...I have the pouch inside, so no fistula's or anything like that...in all, I feel great, I have no pains, the Dr just wants to do 2x/week because inside my pouch has flared up, and he is trying to use Humira to get it under control...I was on Remicade for 2y, but I think I became immune to it since it stopped working.
