Humira Syringe question

I've switched to the syringe's, less painful IMO. However I'm a bit worried about the air that appears to be in the syringe. I inject & when the plunger hits air the needle pops out a bit. I'm not sure whether I should just inject everything or pull out & that point. I decided to inject everything on the premise of when using the pens the air in them used to go in as well.
The previous jab (syringe) I thought I'd be clever & turned it upside down & squirt the air out, all I ended up doing was squirting Humira out the end.
Have read the paperwork & cant see anything about this & would love some advice as I haven't been able to get hold of my specialist nurse over this.

Hi Miss Underestimated, I put this out on another thread & someone else who uses syringes has turned them upside down & squeezed the air out . Maybe I was a bit ham fisted & next time I'll try doing it a bit slower.
Tks & Rgds

Hi Grant; Yes, that is what I would say as well. Turn the syringe upside down and gently push the air out... That's what I was told to do by the nurse who showed me how to do the injection.

Yup...just go nice and slow.....what I do when I need to get air out is hold the plunger with my fingers wrapped around it, and the 'wings' or tabs of the syringe itself with my thumb and fore finger....then slowly pull the syringe down vs pusing the plunger in.....as soon as there is a drop on the end of hte needle I stop...

Might take a little practice - but you could use an old syringe and just fill it with water to practice.....

Tks everyone, my next jab is due friday, I'm going to be very careful this time & get all that air out.
