humira

seems to be helping! since i have started it i have been in significantly less pain and have been able to eat a wider array of foods with no pain. i just hope this continues. surgery i believe is still necessary to remove the scarred portion of my intestine but otherwise i am starting to feel somewhat normal again! i still have my joint and muscle pains but my stomach has felt so much less irritated. i'm beyond excited.

I'm excited for you! Just be sure to help the medication and take your supplements and try to eat as good as you can. Like others, I didn't take care of myself while on it and so after a few amazing months it stopped working for me.

Humira will do it's job (if it is at all) regardless of supplements. And eating "good" is down to your gut's intolerances, some can get away with anything and be well. Others of us can't have a bacon sarnie without getting very ill, if I continued to have bacon every day I'm pretty sure I'd also say Humira stopped working when the reality is it wouldn't, it just cannot work miracles in the face of continued provocation/inflammation...

I got my first 4 shots 2 weeks ago on Wednesday. Before those shots I was doing really bad pain wise. I'm able to eat more already which i think is crazy because I am seeing a pretty big difference right away. I hope it continues to help even more. Problem is I am still loosing weight! Even after I am able to eat more now so I'm still not absorbing any nutrients. Hmph! The main reason for me needing to get better is they want to perform surgery but can't until some of my inflammation has gone down and I get my nutrition levels up.

Yay I'm glad Humira is working out! You are still loosing weight though, but I guess nothing is quite perfect until surgery which snapped me right out of weight loss. My GI did the same, he gave me 2 months before surgery to get some medicine on board for afterwards. I did not gain any weight back until post surgery but I did feel a lot better in those 2 months. Honestly I might be a little in love with Humira. It's a wonderful drug. I hope it continues to work so you can get the surgery taken care of and have medicine lined up for afterwards!

It takes a while for the inflammation to go down and your gut heal enough to absorb the nutrients it should. Be patient!

Hope it works well for you.
