Hi All,
I'm so glad I've found this forum, I don't think I've ever really been able to talk about my story without peopling acting weird towards me.
Since I was 16 I had stomach pains, I could never gain any weight and never had enough energy to keep up with any friends in sports. Everytime I visited my doctor, and there were a lot of visits, he told me that I had a nervous stomach and that I should just learn to relax. 8 Years later, it finally got so bad that I couldn't walk, move or sleep and I went to the emergency room and was diagnosed with crohns. I didn't respond to anything but prednisone for a long time which has made me gain a massive amount of weight around my stomach and no where else really. Now I'm semi-stable on remicade but when I try to exercise to lose weight I seem to flare up. I had a good workout the otherday and felt happy for the first time in ages but then today I woke up feeling sore all over my stomach. I hope someone has tips on how to do weight lifting or running without flaring up.
Look forward to meeting anyone who has crohn's, I haven't been able to yet.
Thanks!
