They are still trying to adjust Kotas medicine. Still no Pentasa.. His tummy seems to fell better being off the Pentasa but it hasn't really made a difference in his heart rate :( I thought for sure it would. Still gotta figure this out. But I am sure we will.

We have been trying to get ready for a Surprise Graduation Party for older son Skyler. We finally had it last night and Yes he was surprised :).

Friday night Kota finally felt like going outside and playing. So we went outside for a little while. He wanted to ride his bike. This has always been his favorite thing to do up until he got so sick. He rode his bike for a few minutes and jumped his bike ramp a couple of times. It was so great to see him doing what he loves so much. Had to check his heart rate. It was 185. I told him okay I want you to sit for a few minutes. So we sat outside talking and laughing. Heart rate started to come down. I told Ko why dont we put your bike and ramp up. We can go inside and cool off and watch a movie. He was okay with that. He went to get his bike ramp to put up. He walked up the ramp and jumped off. Well he fell when he jumped. Came down on his wrist and started crying. We put ice on it as soon as it happened. It didnt swell at all. I asked if he wanted to go to the hospital and he said no. He was afraid he would have to stay at hospital again :( I told him No he wouldnt have to stay. He said he didnt think it was that bad. He tossed and turned all night with it hurting. He finally told me at 3am momma I think I need to go tohospital. So I got up and we went to ER. Well guess what it was broke. I felt so bad that I didnt take him straight in to the ER. They put a cast on it that he will wear for 1 week then we go see Ortho and have another cast put on for 4 weeks. Ugh my poor baby. He cant seem to catch a break.

Dr said to give him motrin. Nope he cant have that allergic. So they said to give him tylenol. I know with him taking tylenol thats going to effect the results of his labs that will be done tomorrow. Still trying to get liver count back under control.

Not sure what it is about Graduation parties that make Ko think he needs to break a bone lol. He broke his ankle 2 days before Beccas graduation party exactly 4 years ago. Then the day before Skylers Grad party he breaks his wrist. I told him Ko when you are fixing to graduate mommys going to wrap you in bubble wrap for about a month. He is all boy. He is the only one of my kids that has ever broken bones or had stitches

Oh, so sorry to hear that. I hope and pray you'll get things in order for him.
By the way, my kids ALWAYS get BAD, BAD colds for Easter. Three years in a row.
The joke at church is will the kids show up!
:soledance:Farmwife

Glad to hear you had a good graduation party!

So sorry about him breaking his wrist that is no fun! Don't be hard on yourself that you did not take him right to the ER sometimes it is not easy to know if a kid broke something or not. When my son broke his leg a few years back we also didn't take him until the morning.

Oh no! Poor Kota! I hope all heals quickly and well and he is soon feeling on top of things. 20/20 vision in hindsight Mum so please don't be too hard on yourself......if you had had even an inkling that it was broken you would have had him straight there!

So fab to her the graduation party was such a success! Well done Mum! :):):)

Congrats on a successful graduation party, and to the graduate Littlebit!

So sorry Kota broke his wrist :( Don't beat yourself up too much, we know..boys will be boys! :D

I found it interesting that he is allergic to Motrin. My oldest son Austin is severely allergic to Motrin. We just found out that due to this he may be disqualified from pursuing his dream of joining the Marines (because its an anaphylactic reaction and includes all NSAIDS..hmmm..:shifty: ) I've never met, nor even heard of someone else being allergic to it, as it's not very common.

Hope Kota gets a cool design for his 4 week cast at least ! :ylol2:

Sorry to hear about his broken wrist - poor thing! I wouldn't feel bad about not taking him sooner - so hard to tell with kids. My mother-in-law made my husband walk to primary school for a week before finding out he had a broken bone in his foot!!!

Sorry to hear about Kota's wrist. My son broke a small bone in his foot 2 weeks ago and it was a week before I realized something was up and took him for the X-ray. Broken bones on top of all the other health issues is definitely not what these kids need!

Talked to Ortho and he will have other cast put on Wednesday. He says he wants it purple and black :)

Fixing to go have weekly labs done at hospital. He says he is feeling pretty good this morning :)
Crohns Mom yeah no one usually believes he si allergic to motrin. We even fight with GI about giving it to him. He always says one dose is going to be okay. Ugh it just pisses me off.
Kota is such an amazing little boy. And he is all boy lol. With a style of his own. Everyday he teaches me something new. We are going to go tonight and have family pictures. Didnt know this for sure until last night. He had me cut his hair yesterday which was hard lol. He has had his mohawk forever and since he got sick and knew Purple was for Crohns his mohawk has been purple. He wanted it cut said he didnt want to have to worry about it with his broken wrist.

Hope everyone is having a great day

Well I am about ready to find a hole adn crwal into it with my kiddos and DH and never come out. No I know I cant do that what would that solve. I got a call yesterady afternoon from the cancer center where I went and had my mammagram done last week. It seems it didnt come back they way they wanted it to or how I want it to. First time this has ever happened. They want to do more testing. Well Skyler heard me on the phone and he freaked out. He cried all night :( my heart breaks for him. He keeps saying Momma you are going to be alright promise you will. I said son the only thing I can promise is I am going to be strong and if we are faced with breast cancer I will fight it with all I have. I know I cant totally promise him that everything will be okay Because I dont know that and I dont want him to ever think I lied to him about anything.

Today Sky had to go and have surgery to have 3 wisdom teeth removed and my heart broke for him. He maybe 17 and 6ft2 but he is still 100% momma's boy. He was crying all morning. I asked him are you okay? He said yes mom I am okay I just want to make sure you are okay. My boys are such worriers. Wonder where they get that from Oh yeah I know from their momma.

Hope everyones having a great day

Try not to worry too much! Easy to say, I know!

Last year, my mammo came back showing a 'shadow'. They called me to go back have another mammo plus an ultrasound. During the u/s, the technician was going round and round, and more round and round! I was thinking "omg, this thing is either SO BIG or there are SO MANY, it's taking this long to get all the details!" and then she says she needs to get the doctor. I don't think I could even breath at this point, I was already planning on how I would delegate responsibilities for my kids' care when I was gone!

Doctor came in said they couldn't find anything on the u/s (that they "searched and searched'!), only the mammo showed a shadow, so she was 99.9% sure it was fine BUT to be sure, she would have the dept head check. Called me back to meet with dept head (stopped breathing again!), he decided best to check with MRI (lots of googling going on now!)... etc., etc. In the end, after months of worry, it was NOTHING! Oh, and, just in case, the questionable mammograms weren't enough excitement, through these months, Stephen got sick and was diagnosed!!!

So, although I know it's impossible, TRY to not worry too much just yet! I'm sure others will also tell you that lots of shadows can come up on a mammo but just better to follow up on each one!

I have to second what read said. Being in the field lots of times my patienta got called back and most times it turned out to be nothing!

Oh my goodness! When it rains it pours huh?

I get called back often and same as Tess...they worked on one spot forever...taking lots of pictures...measurements etc. In the end a big fat NOTHING.

Skyler and Kota have both slept most of the day so its been really quite here. I did call the Cancer Center back today and asked some questions and to see when I needed to go and have othe test done. I was told I go this friday. I have another Mam and ultra sound done and then we will go from there. I asked what they seen on the first one that made them think they needed to do another one. I was told it was my right breast Architectural Disortion. So I guess I just wait until Friday.

I did get some good news. Kotas labs came back and they were all normal AST and ALT were both normal. First time in a while and even with him taking tylenol :) He says he is going to get a purple and black cast tomorrow or maybe pink and black. I am so glad he has his own style lol.

Night everyone

Hoping your mammo/us results are negative...hopefully they are erring on the side of caution. You are going through enough already!!

Wonderful news about Kota's labs...and keep up the good work, mama!! Can't wait to hear about how the casting goes. :))

Wow, it never rains but it pours! Holding all fingers and toes for you - hope all goes well on Friday. Glad Kota's blood tests came back good! One thing at a time I suppose. Sending warm thoughts across to you both!

Yay good labs!

Rock on Kota:headbang:...purple and black rules but pink and black come in a close second!

His favorite was pink and black forever. Now with purple being crohns color it seems over rule now :)

How do I post a picture? Was going to post one of Kota but cant figure it out
