Hi,
My name is Kaella Carr. I am the Chair of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC) Youth Advisory Council (YAC).
I have had Crohn's disease for five years and many of my friends and family members are affected as well.
CCFC recently launched a program called the Crohn’s and Colitis Declartion – it’s a document that was created by patients, doctors and caregivers that is call to action for Canadians to recognize the needs of people with IBD, including:
• Greater awareness and education
• Timely and equal access to therapies
• Access to bathroom facilities, and
• Support for the further funding of research.
This Declaration is really important to me because it embodies what I need as a patient. Please check it out and see what I mean at IsupportIBD.ca
I hope you sign the Declaration and share it with everyone you know and help us reach our goal of 10,000 signatures so that we can increase awareness of Crohn’s and colitis.
Thank you so much!!
Kaella
