Just what it says, had a resection with loop ileostomy in sep reversed in dec because I couldn't maintain magnesium, after the reconnection pelvic area fistula probs and sepsis returned so I am now 7days post op with a loop colostomy, the output is still quite loose and appetite not great any info from anyone would be appreciated thanks.

Oh wow. You poor guy. You've been through the wringer.
I've got no suggestions, but I have loads of sympathy and empathy.
I'd be a mess if I were you.
I hope you have a good recovery.
Sounds like you could do with catching a break.

I don't have any advice for you either, but I have a colostomy as well. Just know that once you get back onto regular solid food, your output will be very thick and almost normal! Much easier to deal with than with an ileostomy (from what I can gather, never having had one). Good luck...hope you feel better soon!

I agree with what Cindy says. I think you'll just have to give it time. Your body has been thru too much. Your appetite will return, and your output should thicken when you are back on normal foods.

So sorry you've been through so much! Hang in there and keep trying to get better.

Thanks guys feeling very down at the min can't see me ever having a life again! Guess I'm just tired and weary from it all.

I'll bet you are! I know this sounds quaint, but you have to look for a tiny bit of improvement every day. Did you eat a bit more than yesterday? Did you go an hour more without pain relief, did you walk one more step?

You and your body have been through hell. It's going to take you awhile to get your strength back in your mind, body and spirit.
