Clearly most people on this forum are, at the very least, passionate about finding answers about their disease.

I'm challening each and everyone of you to get involved in your local Crohn's & Colitis Chapter somehow. If you need help finding your local chapter let me know. I will find it. At the very least you can participate in your local Crohn's & Colitis walk. Participating in a walk for your disease is a great way of empowering yourself. You will become a part of making a difference for yourself. BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE!

I am a team captain for Butt-eze. We partcipate in Seattle, Washington. I am willing to share my team name and logo with anyone who wants to become a sister/brother team (Butt-eze LA, Butt-eze Colorado, Butt-eze Minnesota, etc.).

Last year was my first year participating and I had such a wonderful experience that I want to get others involved too. These events benefit us!

Let me know how I can help you get involved.

You can find your local walk at www.ccfa.org click on the Take Steps link.

Think on it!:thumright:

I'm in! My husband and I did the walk last year in LA and had a great time. The CCFA Chapter is really great and has been a wonderful support and resource. If anyone lives in the Los Angeles area, let me know and I'll be happy to share details.

Good pst, butt-eze!

Hmm. I'm not sure what they do around where I live. I just looked it up, and there is a group in a city about 45mins away from me, but there wasn't a lot of info about the specific group.

Uh.... Crohn's WALK???
Do they have porto-potties every 25 yards???
I've got about 20 good seconds to get to the bathroom.
25 if I'm lucky.

LOL! My Butt Hurts. I'm not sure about your walk but I was totally expecting that there would be a port-o-potty every few feet. They did have some out at my first walk last year. I'm actually thinking we should get a port-o-potty company to support the cause, how appropriate would that be!!! 20 seconds sounds like a lot. Next time count...I bet it feels like that long but you really have less time. At least that's how it is for me when I'm flaring.

Anyways, whether you can actually walk or not it is great to form a team. You can even volunteer at your event and just station yourself near a port-o-potty.
