Just an "aaargh!" -- after my last dose of Remicade & Solucortef, I had barely recovered from the steroid withdrawal when I caught this stupid virus. I am frustrated! I want to work but I'm too tired, waking up coughing, sinus problems, etc.

It is taking a lot of willpower not to swear here.

(Prior to the Remicade, I was off work for almost 5 weeks because of Crohn's symptoms, most notably, fatigue. So that's quite a lot of time stuck at home because of health problems. That's why I'm so annoyed).

Bronchitis sucks. I'm sorry you're going through this. Things like that and the flu are going around. I hear people on the bus, in stores and doctor offices just hacking away. Not even covering their mouths just letting it all come out and be air born. Can't tell you how many times I get dizzy from holding my breath around all these people. Good for you for staying home and not getting everyone else sick like the people above.

I'm on Humira (recently switched from 6MP) and my sister came over with her daughters to just kind of hang out. I noticed my sister couching and sniffling a lot so I just sat further away from her. She calls me the next day to say she finally went to the DR (after being sick for 3 weeks and not being on immune suppressants) and was told she had bronchitis. I was like WTF were you doing in my house??? I didn't get sick thankfully. If it makes you feel any better again she does not take immune suppressants and doesn't have Crohn's and she was sick for 4 weeks. Hope you get better soon!

Ooh Crabby, I am just like you, I HATE it when someone decides to sneeze out in the air without covering their mouth! I also hold my breath when I walk past someone who is coughing or sneezing out in the air. my husband is a teacher and he always tells his students to cough or sneeeze in the crook of their arms. This way they are covering their mouth and not spreading germs to their hands and then to the doorknobs and such. I was in a doctors office a couple weeks ago and there was this guy just sitting there are coughing up a storm ( not bothering to cover his mouth at all). I really wanted to go up to the reception desk and tell them to make him wear a mask! I mean people have no courtesy at all is seems!!

I hope you feel better soon sickofcrohns!

yuk!!! I had pneumonia a few years ago...probably should have been in the hospital (could feel/HEAR the wheezing without a stethoscope!)....but had too much stuff to do incluing taking care of my daughter while hubby was out of town!

Thankfully nothing major since then - seems like my husband and daughter get sick/colds more often than I do!...

Hope you are feeling better soon - take care of yourself!

I feel your pain, came down with pneumonia 3 different times in one year while on Humira. Got to the point where i just had to stop the drug all together.

Feel better

Gianni

Thanks, everybody. After 5 weeks (and a really bad sore throat that may have been strep. . . still waiting for swab results) I'm starting to finally feel better.

Oh, the backlog of stuff to do!
