Imuran Hairl Loss Is Temporary ???

This article says the hair loss is only temporary and that when you STOP taking it then your hair will grow back. So from what i gather, it will slow down or stop after a while (Still taking Imuran) but no new hair will grow back until you stop taking it.

My hair didn't fall out but it stopped growing. Magna B 6 got it going again

I was on 6MP (very similar to Imuran) and my hair fell out in HUGE, frightening amounts despite taking Biotin, etc. My hair stopped falling out 2 months after I discontinued 6MP. It's just now starting to grow back in.

I am thankfully just losing strands of hair, nothing to be too concerned about, but I definitely would not mind finding out ways to slow it down or stop it.

Hello, just out of interest, for people that have lost hair/are losing hair from Imuran, did this happen as soon as you started it or does it tend to happen after taking it for a while?

To be honest, I did not even pay attention until about 3 weeks in. So it could have been sooner, but I am not sure.

That's ok, I just started Imuran two weeks ago so was just curious...I've definitely started eyeing the hairs on my comb with a bit more suspicion in case it's more coming out than usual!

Same here. Honestly if I knew I would look good with a shaved head I would not care, but I love having my hair...lol

Changes in hair color and texture along with hair loss (These changes are usually temporary.)

This is exactly what happened to Matt. His hair did change colour and became noticeably thinner and softer. I still don't necessarily accredit all this to Imuran as he was quite ill over the same period of time that this was occurring. January - May this year.

Now that he is well and in remission his hair has changed back to it's original colour and is very thick. He is still on the same dose of Imuran.
