Tapering my second dose of vanco for cdiff. Couldn't stop the diarrhea and vomiting. In the ER now testing for c diff and about to get a ct scan of abdomen since old g tube site always hurts. Pain and suffering is too much.

So sorry. Hope you feel better soon.

Sending you my support.

Thank you! Waiting on CT results. Vomiting subsided, D is primary problem. Ready for tummy to have relief. 7/15 appointment w/GI who does colonscope FMT. Too young to deal with this as I miss my daughter learning to swim this summer and son potty training success. Normal motherhood is my wish. The grandparents doing it all wasn't what I intended when I brought children into the world. The IBD was dx'd postpartum w/my 2nd baby. Praying C.Diff is gone and intestines cool off. Thanks for your care!

Getting fluids now through IV and nausea/pain med. C.Diff negative, so underlying microscopic colitis must be flaring. I miss food and I'm hungry, but scared to eat because the aftermath of D. Hoping the steroid I began 3 days ago helps soon. Glad C.Diff tested neg., I am still on vancomycin taper though. FMT w/in month or so. CT scan revealed fatty infiltration on one spot of my liver, everything else on CT normal...not sure what to make of the liver spot but ER MD said least of my concerns. ER doc calling my GI to inform of my status.
Love to you all for the support!

I feel for you.Had my share of ERs.
Not much fun being in the ER----but good for emergencies when we need it.
Feel better soon
Hugs and best wishes

So sorry to hear about this. I hope your feeling well soon.
As to the tube pain, Grace will get a very painful g-tube when she's been vomiting or having a gastritis attack. You figured it's "hooked" to the out side and gets pulled when the stomach is contacting during the vomiting or cramping.

Keep us posted.

Emily's mom, Thanks for the get well wishes! I must add, I love where you live! I was born & raised a South Carolina girl (moved to FL @ 18 for college). We had a rental town home in Wild Dunes/ Isle of Palms, SC. I grew up on Lake Murray though, outskirts of Columbia (Chapin).

Thank you, Farmwife. That does make a lot of sense about the contracting causing pain when vomiting. I never thought of that. My mickey hole is closed now though because it was causing more irritation than benefits. It's been out since Feb. I hope Gracie is doing well. I'm sure she is! I cannot believe my baby girl is already 6 1/2. I wish time would pause while they are so innocent and young. :)

Glad to be home now. I could have been admitted for more fluids but I prefer the comforts of home much more than a hospital room. I'll keep y'all posted on how things progress.

Again, thanks for such thoughtfulness from each of you. My heart overruneth with love for all who suffer, particularly IBD. (((Hugs)))
