Indeterminate Colitis? ?

Inflammation of the colon. Maybe no ulcers, but still inflamed/infected. Can't distinguish between UC and Crohn's according to the National Institutes of Health. Usually a diagnosis of UC or CD is made with more testing, including biopsies from colonoscopy and endoscopy.

Ok thanks . Now this makes no since to me. I had several biopsies and colonscopy that say colitis. I went to an ibd center to see a surgeon amd that is what he labeled me as. Never did any test. He was very ignorant the first time because my symptoms were not matching up with the colonscopy. My symptoms are of someone with a severe case and my colonscopy shows mild. I also have lessons on my the OUTSIDE of my transverse colon that know one knows what it is. When it was found the surgeon (a different one) never took a biopsy of it. My pethmuthis (sp) blood test was not consistent with IBD ? I have tried every drug my evtryo (sp) and nothing has really helped. Well imuran helped a tiny bit and remicade really helped but I developed drug induced lupus.

I may be asking a stupid question because I am not very familiar with the symptoms of lupus and its manifestations, could part of the lesions on the outside of your colon be a part of that and is there something out there that may help treat the lupus that also reduces your GI symptoms?

As far as I know the lessions is not from the lupus. The lessions were found before the drug induced lupus (which is almost gone now). I basically had to wait out the lupus because I am allergic to prednisone.
