Infliximab and humira

Hi again everyone....still trying to get our heads around what to do about meds . So does infliximab normally get tried first and if it failed do they then move on to humira? Xx

Typically yes in the us at least for kids
Just because of the compliance /bloodwork and ability to adjust dosage for kids

Our GI gave us a choice. We chose Humira because we have a large family and infusions would have been an 8 hour round trip. He was fine with that.

We did Humira first but that's because ours was prescribed by a pediatric rheumatologist, and for whatever reason, they seem to use Humira before Remicade (or at least, ours did).

I was prescribed Humira first, and I am still on it along with Imuran.
