Insurance and Crohn's?

I live in Ohio and my parents do not have insurance. I am 22 and I need coverage since my Crohn's is getting worse. I don't want to have to get surgery and not have coverage or some sort of plan in place. Please help! Thank you!

Have you checked to see if you qualify for Medicaid? http://www.medicaid.gov/ If not you could try applying for SSI and/or SSDI through Social Security. Getting accepted takes some time and you must appeal if you're denied.

Are you a member of any professional organizations/groups/clubs? Many offer group-rate policies that aren't ultra-cheap but are worth the cost for IBD patients (e.g. IEEE, AAA, ASME, AHA, etc)
