My daughter is seven years old with Crohn's and has been on Purinethol for a month. The last two days she is scratching nonstop. She is even scratching her chest and legs raw in her sleep? What to do?

Have you called the Gi ?
Most have 24 hour coverage even on weekends .
I would give them a call and ask .

Does she have any other symptoms with it? Rash or is it feeling of itchiness.

The two things I would be looking at having ruled in or out are:

Allergic reaction.

Liver reaction.

Has she been having weekly blood draws since commencing 6MP?

I agree with mlp, you need to get in contact with the GI.

Good news! Emily's first round of labs look good. Yay! I went for a second opinion and this doctor is pretty much on the same page about starting Remicade. This makes me feel a little better about making the choice of this therapy....until the we go for the first infusion.

Thanks ladies for your support MLP & DustyKat. I hope all is well in your homes.

Thanks for the update J. Good to hear the labs are good! :)

It’s always good to have the validation of another doctor, it surely does make a difference. No easier as a parent but it can be reassuring at such a difficult time. :ghug:

Good luck mum, I hope all goes well.
