I read weak black tea and weak black ground coffee are ok what I'm drinking now with honey instead of sugar not so big on herbal tea's some green tea or ginger tea not often though

I had to give up normal tea last year because it was making the daily indigestion and belching worse. I tried peppermint tea for a while, but eventually had to give that up too and was pretty much just drinking water.

That was what turned out to be a stricture. Now I drink it all the time with no issues.

If I'm not in a flare, I can tolerate pretty much any kind of tea in moderation. If I am in a flare, even a cup of black tea sends me to the bathroom.

Be careful with tea if you are anemic or take iron supplements. There are tannins in tea that can impair iron absorption.

They say something like don't drink tea two hours before or two hours afterwards. I found it quite difficult fitting iron tablets around the office tea breaks ;-)

Also milk and eggs affect absorption of iron.

Can't live without iced tea (black tea). It is my only vice left lol. Extra points if it is sweet with real sugar (which is rare), but I normally have 3-4 glasses a day with splenda instead. No issues that I can tie to the tea.
