Is Gallium Nitrate a treatment or a cure for Crohn’s Disease? A Case History and Hypothesis

All CD symptoms terminated within a few days after starting GN with prednisone, with her
stools rapidly becoming normal.

ok, what is wrong with this statement is that not only is this just an anecdotal report with one patient, it is not a great one because they stated starting gn(gallium nitrate) with prednisone.

so how can you really attribute cause of improvement to gn? that would be ,..unfair,an unjustifiable conclusion and not adhering very high scientific standards.

nevertheless, it could have been the gn, but there is no way to even assess probability. in all probability, it was prednisone.

im also upset that this post would get more views then my very well thought out fecal transplant post, which is more likely a cure for IBD and that.s why its in larger clinical trials. oh, its the hyped up title that gets peoples attention i guess, he used the word cure. appeal to peoples desires i guess. my title was responsible and accurate and nonspeculative, i guess thats boring. haha!

I sincerely would love to believe there is a cure for Crohn's. But yes, the patient was put on steroids at the same time. Weird. But I still believe we will have our cure soon, too. Thanks for the info.

hopefully there will be clinical trials for this soon to address the issues bill brought up and more. thanks for posting this. I believe MAP is the cause of crohns in some people, where by others may be caused by another infective agent. fingers also crossed for a cure soon.
