I'm having to stop taking Vitamin C because it causes so much burning in my stomach and acid reflux that really burns my esophagus. Is there any substitutes available that won't cause the burning? I've always had difficulty with fruit juices because of the acid.

Thanks. Have a great day! Naturelover

Bangarang, What would I do without you? You have such wisdom in this area. Thank you so much for giving of your time to help.

I was taking Berkley & Jensen Chewable Vitamin C 500mg tab. I took up to 4 a day. These are gluten free, preservative free, yeast free and have no artificial flavors. Ingredients are as follows: Sugar, Sodium Ascorbate, Ascorbic Acid, Stearic Acid, Microcrystaline Cellulose, FD&C Yellow #6 Lake, Natural Flavor, Magnesium Stearate, Lactose. Contains: Milk

So... I'm guessing these are synthetic?

I am now seeing many products with "Natural Flavor". How can you tell if these natural flavors are from a derivative of corn?

Yes those ingredients aren't that great but better than what I usually see out there. Have you tried other brands that don't have milk in it? Natural flavor is a vague word you would have to email/call the company to find out. Ascorbic Acid is the synthetic form of vitamin c, always better to get the natural form your body utilizes and absorbs the natural form much more than the synthetic version. If you feel the vitamin c pills are giving you issues, try to get the natural form.
