I have been suffering for over two years. The most difficult thing to deal with is constantly aching and becoming extremely tired to the point where I continuously yawn. My knees crack just about everytime I kneel down. My anus is very itchy a lot of the time and many times when I wipe there is blood on the tp. I used to have diarhea almost everytime. Sometimes my stool is really dark which leads me to believe I may have some internal bleeding going on. Many times when I eat I get a lot of energy really quickly. I urinate a lot. If someone could give me some idea as to what is wrong with me I would greatly appreciate it. Is it Crohn's or something else that you know of?

Thanks,

J

It could be be Crohn'sm have you seen a doctor about it. I wish you the best of luck. Does it hurt when you poop or when you walk.

Hi J.. all of the symptoms you describe could be from IBD. Problem is they could be a number of other things. one of the problems of IBD is difficulty getting it diagnosed. you need to see a doctor, preferably a G/I specialist, and start getting tested for IBD

wish you all the best. let us know how you make out with the diagnosis, take care

An itchy anus is a symptom of pin worms also. I have been looking into parasites lately since I managed to kill some I did not know I had. Not a very welcome discovery.

I am sure that would not cause all of the other symptoms. It is real difficult to diagnose any digestive disorder, even for the professionals. I would also recommend you see a gastroenterologist. Personally I would not waste time with a GP, unless your insurance requires it.

Once you get a solid diagnosis, you can then take some steps to improve.

Thanks, everyone. The problem is I can't exactly afford any medical right now. I also forgot to mention that I am thirsty all the time.

I won't say how I did this but I will give you the results. Recently I took an relatively untested substance that is supposed to kill all of the low Ph bacteria in your body. I do not know if it works that well, but it did cause a bout of the big D at a medium dose, which resulted in dead parasites that best resembled a smaller form of tapeworm and possibly pin worms, both I likely got from either our dog or cats.. I am assuming it also killed a lot of bacteria since the big D cleared even though I am now taking a larger dose.

Since then I have quit taking supplements and have done nothing to treat my Crohn's. I am having no stool problems and it looks completely normal. Not pale or loose in any way. I do not think it has cured me since the bacteria will come back with time due to an unresolved immune system imbalance. I do think that if you can control the bad bacteria it will alleviate many of the symptoms for a while. At least it seems to have worked that way for me.

I also think that probiotics can help without any risk of side effects. Possibly for the same reason of crowding out bad bacteria. This may be something you can try out until you can see a doctor.

Good Luck

Interesting reading Dan. I've posted this tidbit before, but your post makes me want to put it out there again. Everyone who has ever prepped for a colonoscopy knows its a nitemare. But I noticed something 'intriguing' after my preps. I seem to have a couple of days of symptom free, pain free, normal BM's after my 'clean out'. I haven't seen anyone else express similar developments, but I think it's connected somehow.

I also felt real good after the clean out. Lasted about a week and then back to the unpredictable bowel movement.

I had forgotten about his part but my mother reminded me that after my last CT scan and all the pukey stuff you have to drink I mentioned the rice like stuff coming out afterwards. Yuk, It was them parasites again. What I do not understand is that these almost had to be visible when they did the colonoscopy, yet no one mentioned it. I do not think the parasites caused any real problem but the bad bacteria likely did. At least I have no other explanation for the improvement.

I will have to ask them about it sometime. He is probably pissed off right now because of my decision to see another doctor. They still have not sent my medical records to the new doctor, so I may have to raise some hell.

Hmmm, you sure it wasn't mucus? I know after I went to the hospital I had long stringy white things in my BMs. Truthfully I was hoping that was what it was and not worms. Though worms might have been better.

I have had quite a bit of mucous at times also. Does not look like rice. I have found pictures of these parasites and matched them up. I also have seen the results of worming pets. The pets had the long stringy things as you mentioned.

I was sixteen and followed our cat around because we knew it had worms and I wanted to see what they looked like. It was not pretty. Lets just say I could not eat bean sprouts found in Chinese food for quite a while.

There was not much to do for entertainment at home.

I think most of us have probably experienced the relief of symptoms after a good clean out. Years ago I was given a barium enema because of some chronic D I had going on. They never figured out what it was, but the enema got rid of the D.
Was not aware of the Crohn's back then.

I think we can use that fairly common reaction to reduce symptoms. Not sure of the best way of doing a clean out that is not too harsh on the guts.

Sorry this got sidetracked TroubledMan. How are you doing lately?
