So i went for my first checkup colonoscopy since my resection and they have found out my crohns has come back. This took me at quite a surprise because ever since the surgery i have felt the best full of energy putting on weight and generally healthy.
My surgery was such a big deal to me, probably one of the most traumatic and mentally challenging things i had to do and the only thing that got me through was the belief that this would fix me.
Finding out it has come back is such a big kick in the teeth, i hoped i closed this chapter in my life and could enjoy life without meds or always another test on the horizon.
Im not sure what to do, this is the first time i have realized i might have this disease for life, they are going to put me on Mercaptopurine or humira to keep things stable.
i just feel crap.
