It's in the Bag and Under the Covers

:ybiggrin:I am excited to say that I have a little section in this book. The book is called, It's in the bag and under the covers-Stories of Dating, Intimacy, Sex & Caregiving- About People with Ostomies by Brenda Elsagher
I wrote a little bit about myself on another site and the author of a few books on Ostomy subjects, Brenda Elsagher, saw it and asked me if she could use it in her newest book. What an honor. I always wanted to be published and in this little way, I feel like it is a step toward my own goal of being an author.
My small section,and I stress small is called SMILING AT LAST by Leslie Gilbert-Grunder. It is actually quite embarrassing to read but for you guys, anything! It is a bunch of small stories from people with Ostomies and how they cope with intimate subjects.

Congratulations Leslie,
That is great that you could write about that. I am writing my sequel and actually am going to be looking for people who would maybe want to contribute their experiences to my next novel. I am sure that author was very grateful that she could include your stories in her novel.

Don't be embarrassed, it is all a part of being human. The only people who would attempt to make one feel shamed over their condition are ignorant, and why would you care what those people think? I believe it is great you contributed to the author's book.

I wouldn't have been embarrassed to share my Crohn's/Colostomy stories but It just figures that the one she wanted and I okayed was about my intimate relationship with my husband. I just meant it's embarrassing to say "Hey Mom I got published in a book, read this!"

Nothing quite takes the mood away like a leaking ostomy. But grats and good luck with your writing. Too many lawyers and bankers; not enough artists and scientists.
