Sooo it turns out that my boyfriend has jejunal Crohn's instead of ileitis like they originally thought. He has a lot of inflammation throughout his entire intestine but his ileum and colon are perfectly fine. He's had Crohn's for 14 years and his surgery 2 weeks ago was what showed that it wasn't affecting the ileum.
Reading up on it, I see that it's not exactly a common form of Crohn's (which isn't a common disease to begin with) and I'm a little nervous. It appears that it has the potential to be more serious than a 'common' form of Crohn's but I'm assuming that's due to the fact that it's rarer. Does anyone have any experience with it? Medications that have worked, other treatment options?
