Just back from colonoscopy

Went well, sedative made me a tad drowsy, im absolutely zonked now lol

GI said colon and small intestine were normal. Took a sample from my ileum, guessing he seen something or it looked red and inflamed. Also found a very red patchy area near rectum or in the rectum and said straight away I have proctitis. But also swabbed that area for biopsy too.

Just awaiting outcome now

Did say about if I have anymore mucus, any bleeding before biopsies are back, he will give me 5 ASA's which are supositories, to calm the proctitis

Lol, agreed. I apparently had an entire convo with my doc and the next day I was getting all these calls about starting Remicade, we had talked about it before I didn't realize we apparently talked about it after my scope and agreed I should start it.

Glad it went well for you! I remember having mine and I felt drunk after the sedative an the gas n air lol

I needed double doses of everything last time, I saw my Nurse back in recovery and told her that when she asked how it went. Minutes later she came back in and asked how I was which did strike me as odd- until I graduated to the chairs and looked at a clock, i'd been asleep for an hour lol without realising! Nurse then explained i'd come in as she was going out for her lunch hour then returning.
