I have got a mucus breacher in the diet. PEG polyethylene glycol, cant find it is used in too many foods
but energy drinks, gum,as a coating for fruits and veggies, also for colon prep and Miralax.
Migration from food packaging to food.
Better also check your toothpaste.
Why does not Miralax cause UC,dont know perhaps genetics. Have to look into its adverse effects.
Molecular weight might have a lot do with penetration.
But in any event this stuff attached to food particles or bacteria attached to the particles,
or PEG attached to bacteria somehow will be able to penetrate the mucus barrier.
NOT GOOD

my other guess is that polysorbate and poly glycerol esters which are common in food might also work in the same way, possibly.

This is an added kicker.
