All in the tummy. I only read the patient information an hour before, and I got so worried. Just reading things like cancer, heart failure, and that it makes infections and fungals worse. A really nice doc there assured me it's 1 in 10000 or so that have adverse side effects, but I was so worried. Then even about the needles, which was a bit embarrassing, but my regular gp was great about it.
If you have side effects, do you find their worst in the first couple of days after the first, or all humira needles?

I had no problem with the needles they went in so fast it was only the burning feeling of the medicine going in that hurt.
I did get a fungal infection on my chest but went away quickly with a course of antifungals.
I was really nervous at the start but i thought to myself if its going to help then i shouldnt worry.

However i did end up having to come off it as it caused my knees to burn, go red and get sore.

I have been taking Humira since December. The only side effect I have is a site reaction. It swells up and it red and itchy for several days. Sometimes it is quite large.

You may want to check out the "humira club" thread in the treatments subform - lots of info there.
