Just had my surgery yesterday :)

Hello everyone. I'm writing from the hospital bed, just wanted to report that I have "made it through" my ileocolic resection. The pain stinks, but the procedure was successful. Thank you for your advice and support!

Hi there, I'm just entering week 4 of my post surgery recovery from a small bowel resection - take it slow and steady and at your own pace, rest when you need to and don't overdo it. For me it has got easier each day as long as I don't push it too much - this week has been so much better than the last three. You will have good and bad days be sure to take the pain relief regularly. Feels good to be on the mend....good luck with you recovery

Glad to hear your surgery went well! I just had a colostomy and colon resection two weeks ago and healing has been wonderful. First few days were roughest and healing just went exponentially faster after that.

Hey Adam1971 I am glad your surgery went well, it's a long road but you are through the thick of it, now just the recovery. Believe me all of the little things going on will go away and you will gain back more than you have been able to do in years. What are your plans for medication now? What did the surgeon say about how things looked?
