so here I am about a month and a half since being discharged from the hospital from surgery...
Sure, I feel fine with the bag and being on the prednizone yet everytime I look back at my surgery, I can't help but feel sad for scaring my family and friends like that. It was a rough surgery I was told,
Then there is still the issue of the status of my colon, my last colonoscopy was in 1994. They were unable to do one in April due to the stricture.
I have pretty much accepted the fact that my colon will need to be removed eventually, and for me, the sooner the better because I am at risk for colon cancer.
I wont know untill August tho because my GI DR wants to wait untill I am down far enough off the Prednizone.
It would be a major surgery and I want to make sure they don't over medicate me like last time... that is what caused my complications in the OR.
I take Kolonopin for anxiety, 1 or two times a day as needed but they were giving it to me three times a day, plus the pain pills, the protonix, the zofran, flagyl, cipro, prednizone, a blood thinner to prevent clotting, and a few others, oh and lets not forget the ritalin,
I know it is months away but just thinking about it makes me nervous...
Im glad to know I have you all here to talk to and I know you all will be with me in spirit anyway...
