Your son is not alone! Unfortunately, before finding the forum, I felt the same way. But this place has helped me so much to see that there are many others just like me. How old is your son? Do you think he'd join? It really helps talking with others in the same boat as you.

Lise, you and your son are not alone at all. I've had Crohn's since I was about 3 years (32 now) and it's a giant roller coaster ride sometimes.
Has your doc told you what exactly he's deficent in? Sadly, I no longer can absorb b-12, I have to get a monthly shot. When I was a toddler I would have to drink a bunch of ensure shakes because of the malnutrition.
Best of luck in finding answer for the both of you and we're all here for you!

Hi Lise and :welcome:

I'm so glad you found your way here...

Oh hun, your son is far alone, he will find there are many here of a similar age and with the same issues he has.

Both of my children have Crohns as well.
Where was your son's resection? Was it his ileum?
He is taking any supplements?

Any questions you have please don't hesitate to ask and we will do our best to answer them. Is there anything you want to ask about his bloods or his general well being?

Sorry for all the questions! :eek2:. Good luck and welcome aboard!

Take care,
