I am just getting really fed up with my body. I haven't been diagnosed, so I don't know what to do! My Internalist says IBS... But... Everything I have read says IBS CANNOT be diagnosed until all other things have been ruled out.

My body is just giving me the fits. I look 5 months pregnant, and everyone keeps asking me if I am. My clothes don't fit, I am uncomfortable all the time, my lower back is killing me, my right side cramps and my lower stomach, almost groin, hurts to the touch. The nausea is terrible. The headaches hurt and I am almost out of imitrex. My arsehole hurts from constipation then the D and the constipation again. I think I have a little blister down there...

And my doctor laughed at me when I said my stomach was swollen so much I looked pregnant and when I mentioned the bad breath that smells of rotting stomach!!!

I just wanna cry.

I have been talking with my Grandpa who has CD and he wants me to see the Gastro asap. They can't get me in until the end of Oct! I have a referral from the ER when I went Thursday because of the blood and tons of mucus coming out my arsehole! But I guess it isn't urgent enough. I am waiting a call from the doctors assistant who I am going to beg to call the Gastro and get me in like yesterday.

I think I am going crazy. I look like crap, and I just want some answers!

Sorry for the vent. I just needed to get it all out.

Don't apologize for venting, we've all been there in some form or fashion! It's a frustrating road to go down, I was misdiagnosed with IBS when I was in high school. I was put on a high fiber diet (yikes!) and it messed me up really bad. Keep calling for an appointment, and call everyday to ask if there are cancellations. Make them understand that you are extremely worried and that it is becoming an unlivable situation. Hopefully, they will sense your urgency (!) and get you in quicker. Good luck!

HI Bamboling, Welcome to the forum. it's not easy to get diagnosised right away it takes time it took me three years before i was diagnosis with CD. and i have had it for 21 years now and counting . I agree with your Grandpa get checked out asap. Hopefully there will be a cancellation and you could get in early. i am having a flare up now and can't see a GI specalist til November 22. so, i know what it's like to be frustrated and angry. I hope all goes well with your appointment. best wishes.

hello, i am in the same situation that you are and are waiting to get tests results back and find out what is wrong with me. i have had anal problems for 7 months and i am hoping the gastro finds out what is wrong with me.

Just a suggestion, drop your internist and find a Gi, they are much more advanced and knowlegable, trust me been there done that. It is a very hard disease to diagnose and medicate, the sooner you are under pain control the better. I hate to see people suffer, because of some doctors. :hang:
