just seen my GI

I had a very positive meeting with my GI today. I am recovering fro an abdominal rebuild surgery due to a rescection in 2008. Healing is slow.. My crohns seems to be back in full swing with the fistulas, while the meeting was positive he has authorized Cipro and Flagyl and ran a series of blood tests for deficncies with vitamins and because I am anemic. Why I feel this is positive is I might get some real answers. He is considering switching me from humaria to cimza once my surgery healed. I have read good things on Cimza.

Can't wait for the blood results, and hopefully getting my energy level back.

I'm glad you are getting better, slow is ok as long as you are getting better.

Sometimes it's better to take time and get there than not getting there at all.

Good luck to you.

You sure have been in the wars! Good on you for staying so strong. This is the first time I've heard of abdominal rebuild surgery. This disease has such a range of potential pitfalls :-( Hoping things heal and that you get sorted with an effective treatment plan.

The surgery is an abdominal component separatiion surgery. Almost a mini tummy tuck without them sucking any fat out. They had to do because after my resection surgery I developed a incisonal hernia that was quite large. Basically my abdominal muscles seperated.

The Cipro and Flagyl seem to be doing the job. Drainage and Pain have been drastically reduced. Healing from the surgery is going good, seeing Surgeon on the 14th. I wear a support band around my stomach that really helps. Can't wait to be able to start working out again, right now trying to walk 1000 steps a day.

Thanks, and I will try not to overdue. It is hard with this disease as once you feel better you want to take advantage of it. Don't worry about nagging, I appreciate the thoughts.
