I like kefir and feel it's helped. There's a big difference between store bought and home-made milk kefir in both taste and effect. I was making my own kefir and let it brew a little longer because if it brews a little longer it'll help with D. If brewed too quickly it can cause D. However, I found water kefir soda to help control more symptoms (D, frequency, upset stomach, stomach pains, etc.) than milk kefir.
Edit: I forgot to mention that I'm currently undiagnosed in case that helps or makes a difference.
