p.s this forum is amazing and has helped me so much and wish all of you the best of health.

Hi Rich , glad you are here! I have had a resection at age 32, and i was in good shape then and had laprocopic surgery done. I was not able I think for a month to do light stuff. Everyone is different but that is alot of strain on your body two weeks after surgery. If you can I would cancel or move your big album launch. It may be not easy, but you are kinda being risky doing something like this at a early stage. Pain can be managed but if you get infected, you may cause more harm than good. Just my opinion, sorry to be negative but there is alot of recent peeps who just had surgery, I am sure they will come on and give their opinions.

:hang:

Hey Rich! Belated welcome to the site!

I would have to agree with Jetta here....lots of people handle it differently, but if you have never been through an operation, even a laproscopic procedure can knock you out for a few weeks!

Like Jetta said...it's not just about the pain.... there are the other risk factors involved as well. Three hours after my laproscope to have my gall bladder removed, I ended up with a head cold.... nothing like coughing and sneezing while trying to hold your gut together so you don't pop a stitch!

Plus being tired and drained already...you may find the tour will totally wear you out....I think they can be tiring enough as it is...lol.

If it can possibly postponed at all, I would do so....give yourself a good month, and see how it goes from there.

All the best to you!

I had the same surgery done when I was 17. A week after mine we found out that it had gotten infected and I was out of service for a full month after that. So sadly I don't know what 2 weeks would feel like after surgery had it not gotten infected. I'd imagine that you'd have very little energy and may still be walking around like an old grandpa with a hump on your back (it took me a very long time to stand up straight). As Silver said, pain can be managed but that does nothing for your energy level. I'd push the date back as well if possible, unless you can show up in a wheel chair which may make you a little more comfortable but you'll still be tired/drained.

Welcome to the forum! :D
