leaking - tmi

Hi all,
Just wandering if anyone else "leaks" occasionaly. Sorry in advance for the tmi to come.

This has happened several times in the last couple days. I am in the middle of doing something (today I was cleaning out the closet" then I have a kind of funny feeling in my tummy and suddenly can feel hot wet ick coming out of my southern regions, not a lot but still nasty. Its funny because I don't really feel like I need to "go" it just kind of happens.

I have been having a bit of a flare the last week or so - cramps, tired, extra trips to the bathroom.

Is the leakage just because of the flare or something else?

I completely understand how you feel!

I have had this happen off and on this past year. Usually for me it's when I'm asleep. As soon as I 'leak' I immediately wake up and know it's happened.

I've been flaring the past two years in a huge way and have been back and forth with a partial blockage for about a year and a half. It has been only as long as this flare as has been going on.

My mother has been dealing with this for as long as I can remember, flare or no flare. I will admit it was one aspect of her Crohn's that I didn't want to inherit.

Thank you Silver!
It's nice to not feel like the only one. Waking up to that is the worst!
I had that in the middle of the night once and kicked my husband out of bed and changed the sheets. It was so icky and he never once asked was going on. Just looked at me bleary eyed and crawled back in when I was done.

I sort of leak when I'm flaring...and when I'm coming down from a flare. What happens to me though is I fart or release some gas and along come blood or a clearish bloody liquid...those are the ones I hate who enjoys farting blood?

I used to have that every day. I just finally started wearing maxi pads every day so that I didn't ruin every pair of underwear I own.

The one good thing about having a stoma...no more leakage...lol...well, none from my anus anyway...lol There are advantages to having your plumbing disconnected! lol

I'm not flaring and feel close to remission but I still leak occasionally. I have heavy Crohn's in the rectal area (TMI!) so I chalk it up to being that as the cause.

Well Nyx, I do the male version - a little piece of well placed TP goes a long way to preventing skid marks. I have found it sometimes prevents a little chafing too!
