Besides UC/IBD increasing around 1920 so did lighting,is there

any connection. Seems that melatonin is reduced by lighting.

Been looking for years at why UC started to increase around 1920 give or take, need to look into melatonin a bit more.

I took supplements in the past of melatonin, dont remember it helping.
Farfetched,perhaps,but then again read on.

I've been having tons of trouble with my sleep. I've been thinking about the whole indoor lighting thing too and have been making a habit of turning the lights off in all rooms as much as possible to try to track the daily light schedule.

There are so many artificial constructs in our modern-day lives that we totally don't even give a thought to in terms of effect on our health.

Thanks for raising the issue Mike.
