Limiting the Crohn's mess

Hi evy1,

I hope I'm not stating the obvious in my words below, but I just wanted to tell people a few things that I have done that has taken away a few of the nastier Crohn's symptoms that we all go through. There are a lot of new people coming on board so hopefully it may help someone. I'm not preaching, just saying what I did and my major issue now is mainly pain and not the big D, nausea and all the other mess. Here's the list:

-cut right back the amount of cow's milk because the homogenization and pasteurization process does not rid the product completely of bacteria. I have some milk in my morning coffee and drink black tea or water/cordial the rest of the day
-cut right back on alcohol. Still have some but only irregulary and only small amounts, i.e. not getting legless :rof:
-stop smoking
-drink Colloidal Silver every now and then to kill bad bacteria, and then rebalance that with yoghurt
-take a multivitamin every day/second day
-try absolutely to limit any stress in my life, whether from work, kids, the weather, money problems etc.
-don't drink orange juice, too acidic
-exercise, pushups
-join this forum

This is only a small list and it has helped me immensely. I'm not cured, far from it but I can definitely say this list has ridded me of a lot of the nastier Crohn's messes
