liquid diet first-timer...help?
I know I just posted a thread but this is slightly unrelated to that.... sorry.
I am new to this forum and I've seen a lot of people who put themselves on liquid or nutritional beverage diets for longer stretched than anything I'm used to. I have a fistula (can't remember the name but it's all on the inside...intestine-to-intestine) and I feel like it really needs a break from food. I'm only taking sulfasalazine which is my usual maintenance drug and I'm using a lot of alternative medicine methods.
Can anyone recommend the best way to go about this? I'm a vegetarian and do not want to do any meat broths or anything like that. I've hear about Ensure but I wonder if health food stores have better options. Also curious about complete nutrition. Thanks, everyone!
