Hi everyone, hoping all of you in the US had a nice 4th of July weekend and all of you everywhere else had a nice weekend too :)

I have been flaring for the past three months although I have no diagnosis as of yet. The flare started on its own and seems to be getting better, finally, on its own too. The past three days it's been somewhat better and I think it might mean that this flare will go away soon. Since I've got no diagnosis, I'm not taking any meds (for this). I am considering a liquid diet to induce remission as that would be safe whether or not I do have IBD or don't have it after all. I'm going to talk about it with my doctor, but meanwhile I have a couple questions...

1) I know EEN can really do wonders in inducing remission, but does anyone have any experience with liquid diets in general as opposed to EEN? And if so, what was the liquid diet composed of (just "true" liquids like juice, ensure, broth, milk, etc.; or "expanded" liquids to include pureed soup, yogurts, etc.)?

2) Roughly how long must one keep up a liquids-only diet to induce remission? I assume there is variation from person to person, but in general is the timeline more in terms of days, weeks, or months? I would think 4-8 weeks would make sense, but I have no previous experience with this.

Many thanks :ghug:
