So I had surgery 4 weeks ago now and the past few days have had a horrible flu bug.i haven't eaten much but I am drinking lots and I am very windy and the output is completely liquid whereas usually it is quite thick.just wondered if this was normal because I'm starting to worry!

When I had the flu, I had that too. Don't worry about it too much. Just keep your liquids up.

Ileostomy I have forced myself to eat abit more today and it is thickening up a little bit so maybe I was worrying for nothing!thanks

With an ileostomy liquid output is normal, you are normally thicker but perhaps the illness coupled with what you ate while sick is varying it. Your surgery was so recent you are due for many changes.

Make sure to drink lots of liquid, particularly those with electrolytes. Bananas, toast, marshmallows, and potatoes are all safe foods that help bind up.
