Hi all,

This might have been said before but did a quick search and couldn't see it so thought I'd share.

Just found out from the water board in my area that if you have CD, UC and a few other related problems then you could get your water bill slashed in half!! Application form on it's way. Cha Ching, every little helps.

Laters,

JK

That is amazing! I guess they figure the extra flusing is medically necessary?!?!

Now where do I go to get my toilet paper bill slashed in half???

That's interesting, didn't know that. Will ask hubby who we get our water from and see if they have a scheme - google suggests some water co's do!

Edit: it would appear you have to be in receipt of certain benefits - which rules me out.

Sembcorp (Bournemouth's water board) T&C's say you can get rate relief if you're on benefits OR have certain health conditions. I don't get any benefits but the guy at the call centre seems to think that doesn't matter.

Gotta be worth trying!

I suppose it's worth a try, but:

If you have a water meter we may be able to offer you a lower and fixed charge regardless of your usage. We can do this if you claim certain income-related benefits and either:

* have three children under the age of 19 in full-time education and living in the property, or
* use a lot of water due to a medical condition

I wonder if there is anything in the usa like that? How do you look that up?

Wow! Gotta investigate that!
I flush the toilet a hundred times a day!
I wonder if I can find another kid somewhere, I've only got two in full time education.
