Hi all,
I'm new here - just signed up looking for some advice really as google wasn't being very helpful. I hope that is okay...
I've had crohn's disease since I was a young teen, and took until the age of 23 to get my diagnosis. I've been on budesenoid, prednisolone and now quite well controlled with Pentasa. However I've started to notice some problems sneaking in again and I feel they are related to my crohns though they might not be.
I've been a bit constipated for a week or so, and when I've gone to the loo it's had mucus and blood in it like it used to before I was diagnosed and given medication for my crohns. I also have pain and itching in my back passage though so I wonder if the blood and mucus may be down to hemerrhoids.
However what makes me think it might be something else, is... and this is gross, I do apologise... my stool seems to be getting *lost* inside me? Does that make sense to anyone? It's like, it is not going to my anus when I bear down, but getting lost in my rectum. Recently I discovered that it seems to form in the space between my vagina and my perinium, and if I apply pressure to both sides (pinching my perinium with my thumb just inside my vagina and my fingers on my perinium), I can squeeze the stool back toward my anus so that it comes out - like a tube of toothpaste! That doesn't seem normal to me!? Is that hemerrhoids? :/ Tonight I did some exploration, because the stool seemed really lost inside, and inserted a finger into my anus to try to fish it out (I'm sorry, I know! ) and it felt like there was a tube of flesh inside my anus that the stool is behind / in?? Like, I kept putting my finger deeper but all I could feel was tissue, and I could feel from the outside of it that stool was inside it, but... LOST somehow?! It's the only way I can think of to describe it!
I've now freaked myself out! What on earth is going on? Why can't I pass my stools?? Does this sound like hemerhoids inside? I'm so confused :confused2: and I'd appreciate any experience or advice or suggestions. I guess I need to go to my GP, and I have an appointment for next Wednesday, but I'd really appreciate some insight or if anyone else has experienced anything similar- what did it turn out to be?
Sorry for the gross post for my first post here. I hope you will all excuse it as I could really do with some support and encouragement Thank you x
