Hi .

I've been a member for awhile but haven't been very active. I've posted a couple of times recently. I'm looking to just make some friends on here. I currently have no friends to vent to that can actually understand. I'm also a good listener :)

Soooo, my name is Kayla. I'm 25 years old and that seems so strange. I'm supposed to be 19, right? Even though my bod tells me I'm much older ;) I just graduated college and am I'm job seeking. It's a pain. I have a 14 month old daughter, who's my inspiration to actually get healthy again. Hmmm. What else? I'm just pretty cool and would love to chat.

I'm still learning to navigate this forum so forgive my ignorance!

Hey Kayla!

I'd be willing to be cyber buds with you! I just recently moved with my husband a few months ago and because of my rough pregnancy it has been hard to make friends since I am supposed to be resting and can't work or take online classes for the degree I want.

I'm 22 years old and I was diagnosed at 15. I have had a lot of success with diet, yoga, and mesalamine. I am also 34 weeks pregnant though my baby is measuring 2 weeks behind because my placenta doesn't want to do its job so we could decide to induce any time on a weekly basis at my MFM appointments. I would love to have a friend with not only crohn's but a mommy friend too :) My son is also my inspiration to get healthy and stay that way as right now pregnancy has kicked my butt and I am pretty sure I am flaring. I'm kinda quirky and sarcastic but if you can handle that I think we'll get along great!

Hiiii, there!!

I was induced at 37 weeks due to my daughter not growing as much as they'd like. She was tiny and was only 5 pounds 2 ounces at birth. Congratulations on your pregnancy! How exciting!

What kind of yoga do you do? I've been doing "resistance training" and a lot of stretches, lunges, etc. I want to do yoga but have no idea how!

I've got 2 girls (3 and 6) so if anyone wants to say how exhausting it is then they will get sympathy from me! I had my first child when I was 36, I wish I had had them when I was younger like you two.

Hi,

Your thread is a great idea; I would love to keep in touch.
I am not in the US, so hours may differ, however, Crohns is Crohns anywhere around the globe.

Thank you! He was not planned but we are very excited for him! Last Monday he measured 4 lbs 4 oz so I am hoping to get him to 5 lbs before he gets here and has developed lungs so he won't have to be hospitalized. Did your daughter have to spend any time in the NICU?

I do all kinds! But I found a channel on youtube that I follow, yogawithadrienne I think it's called. She has various routines in length and intensity as well as for different health benefits and she is all about relaxing and finding what feels good while staying in shape, highly reccomend her!

I'd love to be cyber pals! I'm 22 and was just diagnosed a few months ago, so it would definitely be nice to have some friends around my age with Crohn's and IBD. As much as I love my friends, there are certain things they can't understand from experience.

It is exhausting but worth it. I sometimes wish I'd had my daughter a few years before I did, before I got sick so I understand what you're saying!

Well, she had a two week NICU stay but it was because she got an infection. I also ended up having an eemergency csection but other than all that, she was good.

I'll have to check YouTube out. I never thought of that.

It is hard! I understand that. My friends can sympathize but that's it!

Howdy all, I'd love to be cyber friends, always good to have friends that understand what it's like to live with Ibd

Hey I'm Aly. I'm 28 and I'm on here to find some friends as well. I don't get to get out much and since I can't work right now I really don't have any friends. I'd love to talk to some of you! :)

Hi Kayla
I was wondering if you managed to get some help with the nausea/lack of appetite? How are you feeling?

No. I have been feeling... okay. Not great, but Could be worse. I see my doctor next month so I'm hoping he'll actually do something. Hopefully that's the last time I see him and have a new doctor by Fall.

Thank you for asking! :)
